Gone are the days living in “tribe of children” induced comas, perpetual states of dehydration and conversations limited to chapstick, leopard hooker shoes, frozen cherry coke zeros and armpit hair.
The triplets have gone on and left me for kindergarten. They will be riding the big yellow bus on a regular basis starting Tuesday and just like that I will lose 3/4 ‘s of my stay-at-home tribe.
I start classes tomorrow provided I don’t get lost on campus, collapse from anxiety or pee my pants before I get there.
Trust me, you’re not the first person to look me straight in the eye and say “WHY? Why would you do this after all you have been through over the past 6 years. When you finally have a break? When you finally have some space? When you finally get to breaaaath? Why? Why oh why oh why?”
It’s complicated.
Let me just say that the twisted beauty in suffering great loss at a young age is that you gain insight to the value of time, its uncontainable nature and its talent for vanishing.
So I have to grow up tomorrow.
Please pray I don’t burst into flame as I re-enter the real worlds atmosphere.
This triplets plus two momma will be somewhere out there squeezing the pulp out of life—-one fruitful day at a time!

You are going to be just fine. How many hours are you taking?
